Mission of the Church of Christ at Belmont
We believe it is impossible to improve on the words of Jesus Christ
and the inspired writers of the New Testament; therefore it is the mission of
the Church of Christ at Belmont to:
1. To preach the Gospel to a lost and dying world. Mat 28:18-20 And Jesus
came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto
me in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with
you always, even unto the end of the world.
2. To help those in need of the necessities of life. Luke 14:13-14 But when thou
makest a feast, bid the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and thou shalt be
blessed; because they have not wherewith to recompense thee: for thou shalt be
recompensed in the resurrection of the just.
3. To practice religion. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before our God
and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep
oneself unspotted from the world.
The Goals of the Church of Christ at Belmont are to search the inspired Word
of God in order to understand His Will for man. In our evangelism we strive to speak
where the Bible speaks and be silent where the Bible is silent. In our ministry we
strive to help with the physical and spiritual needs of all men based on the Word of
God.
